Vegetarian French Onion Soup Recipe Zorica L. August 26, 2014 Cheese, Cooking, Recipes 2 Comments I love cheese and caramelized onions so the normal conclusion is that I love French onion soup too. Actually, onion soup is one of my favorite comfort foods. This vegetarian french onion soup recipe is made of just a few basic ingredients but in the end you are getting deeply fragrant and flavorful dish. The key to good onion soup is cooking the onions for a very long time over low heat. It’s not difficult — just do it slowly. And don’t stir onions too often or they won’t caramelize. Originally onion soup is made with yellow onions but I love red onions more. They are little bit sweeter than yellow onions for me. You can use any onions you like, you can’t get it wrong.
