Would You Rather: Thanksgiving Traditions Eick November 21, 2007 Would You Rather? 10 Comments With Thanksgiving less than 24 hours away, it only makes sense to ask a Would You Rather? question on that theme. Today’s question is about sacrifice, tradition, leftovers and enjoying your Thanksgiving. Which traditional Thanksgiving dishes do you value the most? Which would you sacrifice from your meal tomorrow? Would You Rather? Option #1: You have Thanksgiving without turkey and cranberry sauce. Option #2: You have Thanksgiving without stuffing and mashed potatoes. I know what I’d choose, and I’ll weigh in later. But share your reasoning for your choice in the comments. Reply julia March 22nd, 2008 i would want stuffing and cranberry sauce, sans turkey and potatoes. erm. that’s not a choice. 🙁 Reply Susan January 15th, 2009 I suppose I could have chicken and thereby make gravy for the potatoes. I wouldn’t miss the turkey or the cranberry sauce. For a tangy addition to the meal, I’d make a chutney. Reply Echo710 July 9th, 2009 I hate turkey. This is an easy one. (Might miss the cranberries a bit though.) Reply SkippyMom July 13th, 2009 I make the damn best oyster dressing [stuffing] known to man [or my family, at least lol] and this is no question. I cannot live without my oyster dressing and mashed taters …mmmm I wish I wasn’t reading this in July [weeps for the lack of oysters in July, sigh] Reply Cynthia November 18th, 2010 I’m a stuffing freak, and I make it every year for our family gathering, so my choice was easy this time.
