Eating Styles: Cereal Dust Edition!

by · August 27th, 2012 · 6 Comments

It’s Monday, meaning it’s time for another installment of Eating Styles. A while back, we asked you if you “drink” the chip dust at the bottom of the bag. This week we want to know, do you eat the cereal dust at the bottom of the cereal bag?

In searching for pictures for this post, I found a number of rage comics associated with cereal dust like the one above. So a good portion of the population, at least, hates cereal dust. Personally, I love it when that last frosted mini-wheat clunks out of the bowl, followed by a pile of sugary dust.

What side are you on, So Good readers? Do you eat the cereal dust at the bottom of the bag or not? Choose your favorite option and explain in the comments.

I literally take the last few shredded wheat biscuits out of the bag by hand to avoid as much dust as possible. :)

I have also learned not to ask my lovely husband to pour my cereal if I’m near the end of a box, since he is not like-minded and thinks nothing of dumping a heap of sand on top of my breakfast.

I mix it in to make sugar-milk! Best stuff ever.

Momofuko in NYC (several locations) serves actual “cereal milk” and a cereal milk flavored ice cream. Not my thing but I know a bunch of people who love it.

I still love the cereal dust. I think it stems from the desire to get to the bottom of the box for the toy that used to be down there.
