The Greatest Movie Ever Sold – Plus, Free POM Juice!

Morgan Spurlock has a new movie. But rather than lift the veil on the dangers of eating McDonald’s for 30 days straight, this one takes aim (and pokes fun) and the abundance of product placement in movies and TV shows. As such, rather than just being named “The Greatest Movie Ever Sold” Spurlock nabbed a sponsor, and instead named it “POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold.” The film opened in NYC and LA a couple weeks ago, and can now be seen in other parts of the country.

I myself am a HUGE pomegranate fan, drinking POM wonderful juice with some regularity and buying pomegranates whenever they are in season. So I linked up with POM Wonderful to help get the word out about the film. They’ve been kind enough to give So Good three coupons for a bottle of free pomegranate juice. For a chance to win these coupons, leave a comment telling me what you’ve heard about the movie, if you’ve seen it or what seems most interesting about it to you. You can also enter to win a bunch of prizes on their website, including a Mini-Cooper & Home Theater system.

Here’s a clip from the film in which Spurlock knocks the deceptive marketing by other juice companies offering “Pomegranate Juice” that actually contains extremely small amounts of Pomegranate juice:

Kind of excited about this movie. I liked a clip from one of the trailers in which they say that the only place to get away from ads is in your sleep. =)

I have been hearing ads for the movie for a while but have not seen a trailer yet. Like everything Spurlock touches I am most looking forward to a well researched documented film with a lot of entertainment value.

I first saw a trailer on YouTube when they first put it up. I admit, it definitely made me giggle in my cubicle.
