Update: Some moronic right-wing media pundits are trying to attack/make fun of Obama for ordering his burger with spicy mustard.

Politico reports that yesterday afternoon, President Obama and Vice-President Biden stopped into Ray’s Hell Burger, a burger joint just up the street from my office.  For those of you outside DC or unfamiliar with this place, let me just say that Obama has excellent taste in burgers. This place is hands down one of the best burgers you’ll ever have.

With 10 oz patties and a bevy of toppings, this burger is messy. It’s the kind of burger that once you pick it up, you can’t put it down. Both because A) it’s f-ing tasty and you don’t WANT to put it down, and B) if you put it down while eating it, you risk it totally falling apart.

USA Today reports that Obama ordered a basic cheeseburger and asked for spicy mustard.  Biden ordered his burger with swiss cheese and jalapeno peppers.

    Uh – he ordered it “medium well” – NO FRIGGIN’ TRUE BURGER LOVER ORDERS THEIRS MEDIUM WELL. He didn’t do it right – he did it wrong, and he took so long to order, even Jon Stewart made fun of him on the Daily Show. In this obviously staged photo op to make Obama look like a “man of the people” he came across as clueless as Bush First did when he went into a grocery store, and was amazed by a price scanner.

    Finally got a burger some where today, not perfect burger, but assumed I could be burger satisfied at least for a week. Now this. Oy vey. P.S. Tried to go on a mission to find a Sonics in Aurora, IL today….epic fail.

    He did order it “medium.” I heard that as well. Funny thing is, even if you order your burger Medium-rare (which is ideal), you almost always receive medium anyways.

    You heard him wrong, that wasn’t the whole video, he ordered his medium-well and he ordered the burgers for the press pool as medium. Doesn’t matter because it was all a big Photo-Op Lie. How much did this little run to the burger joint cost the tax payer so that Obama and Biden could look like the “common man” and too many Americans buy it.

    The Left is just keeping this ‘Mustard story’ alive, the Right had a chuckle and moved on. There are many much more important things to criticize this administration about. The Left doesn’t want people focusing on the big stuff, because that’s where it’s most dangerous to them. The Truth will bring them down, God willing.

    My hearing is fine, thanks. Your ability to comprehend is at question. He clearly orders his burger MEDIUM WELL. The burgers he orders “medium” are for other people back at the White House. You need to watch the entire video, not just the end part. But thanks for playing.

    And, if you actually watch the entire video, you can see how the police and Secret Service have blocked off traffic, restricted pedestrian traffic to the other side of the street, and otherwise disrupted normal citizens’ day, all in the name of this bogus photo-op to show that Obama is a “man of the people”. Biden actually comes across better – he orders quickly, orders an interesting sounding burger, and keeps the line moving. As Jon Stewart said, if Obama had taken that long to order in any New York deli/pizza/burger spot, the order taking would have been shouting “Next” after five seconds.
