From Buzzfeed comes this awesome image of a Wall-E bento box:
This is from a series of photos on Flickr called Obento! from the user kickintheheadcomic who notes that these are cute lunches made by his/her girlfriend for lunches. The collection of photos features some really cool ones, so check it out.
But even more interesting, the aforementioned girlfriend/bento box creator has a blog. Over at anna the red’s bento factory you can read step-by-step instructions for how to create various characters, images etc. for a bento box. For example, the most recent two posts show you how to make Yoshi and Mario mushrooms.
Good stuff, and an awesome niche blog. Definitely go check it out.

Makes you wonder if there’s a “Bento Wrecks” blog somewhere in Japan, but I doubt they’d ever allow themselves to make ugly Bento.
