According to CitySearch, Hardee’s was voted #1 for fast food in 13 cities, and their Thickburgers were voted “Best Burger” in Atlanta, Jacksonville, Louisville, Minneapolis and Kansas City, Mo. (Hat tip to Slashfood, where I first read this story).
Now I must admit it’s been well-over 10 years since I’ve had Hardee’s, it’s just not an option in areas of the country I’ve lived. I do remember when I was a kid we would drive from Vermont to Florida to visit my grandparents, and we would always stop and get Hardee’s fried chicken and burgers. That being said, I never thought Hardee’s would top a “Best” list for fast food.
Here are the 13 cities that voted Hardee’s the best:
Charleston, S.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; Indianapolis; Jacksonville, Fla.; Louisville, Tenn.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Nashville, Tenn.; Norfolk, Va.; Orlando, Fla.; Raleigh, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; St. Louis; and Tampa.
Anyone know if there is a place in these cities that should have bested Hardee’s? Or was the win legit?

Hardee’s is pretty damn good, though I haven’t had it in years. I would love to have a Monster Thick Burger though.
