Domino’s recently unveiled a new pasta product: Bread Bowl Pasta. Yes, pasta PLUS a bowl made of bread. Talk about carb overload. Robert Atkins must be rolling over in his grave. (Note: the pasta is available without the bread bowl as well…but where’s the fun in that?)
There are 5 types of pasta available:
- Three Cheese Mac-N-Cheese A blend of two cheddars and mozzarella tossed with penne pasta and baked.
- Italian Sausage Marinara Penne pasta tossed with Italian sausage smothered in marinara sauce and topped with provolone cheese.
- Chicken Alfredo Cuts of all white meat chicken and penne pasta baked with creamy Alfredo sauce.
- Chicken Carbonara – Cuts of all white meat chicken, bacon, onions and mushrooms mixed with penne pasta and baked with creamy Alfredo sauce.
- Pasta Primavera Baby spinach, diced tomatoes, mushrooms and onions mixed with penne pasta and baked with creamy Alfredo sauce.
WalletPop is reporting that tomorrow, April 29th, you can get a free bread bowl pasta lunch between 11 am and 2 pm at all participating Domino’s stores.

I’m all for new food products but that just doesn’t sound good. Dominos doesn’t have great crust and the key for anything served in a bread bowl IS the bowl. I think I need to try one for dinner just to be sure.

Ewww..are they going to include a gallon of drink? I think someone over at Domino’s has been cruising This Is Why You’re Fat and trying to get an entry in over there. Who would buy that?

Tried a Domino’s bread bowl pasta today and it wasn’t good. The bottom of the bread bowl was gooey because it was undercooked. I bet they will discontinue the product.
Their subs are better.

I tried the Chicken Alfredo one last night and it was awesome.
Sorry to hear some people had a bad first experience because the one I had was absolutely delicious!!
I hope they keep these on the menu permanently.

Actually, I just ordered one today, and it is delicious!
Granted, it is NOT a lot of pasta, but the bread bowl totally makes up for it! It’s not like the regular dominos crust, it’s like a garlic bread type bread. It’s really good!

why is everyone saying ew??? duhh the breads soggy on the bottom dumbos!!! its the sauce! that parts not amazing but the rest is. eat all around the soggy bread at the bottom then put the oven on 350 and when its preheated take the breadbowl out so the soggyness dries out n its sooo guud!!! TRY IT! i had the chicken alfredo now wana try mac’n'cheese! and duhh its fattening but THIS IS AMERICA! ONE IN EVERY THREE ADULTS ARE OBESE!

these pastas are actually amazing! I tried this because I was sick of getting so much pizza and I have to say it’s much better than I expected. The breadbowl has a very nice flavor compared to their normal pizza crust because of the garlic seasoning. I have only tried the chicken alfredo but I’m about to try the Primavera. Don’t hold back .It’s amazing.

RE: Shutup, The point is that the bottom is uncooked and gooey! This is because the entire bowl is cooked at once with the ingredients inside it. Because the bottom inside is covered with sauce and pasta and meat, it won’t get cooked to a bread texture. If Dominos pre-cooked the bowl halfway and THEN put the ingredients inside the bowl and put it back in the oven, the crust would be cooked on the bottom. It seems ridiculous that you eat the inside and then put the bowl into your oven to finish the job that Dominos should have! I know this to be fact because I used to work there and we all talked about the bread bowls not being fully cooked on the bottom.
