As some of you know, earlier this month I presented to the National Confectioners Association State of the Industry conference about blogs and the power of social media in a session titled “Consumer 2.0, Listen, Learn, Engage.” You can see me on their “Meet the Experts” page (I’m the 5th profile down).
I thought the presentation went great and was very well received, and the conference as a whole was a lot of fun. I will say this: I have never seen so much candy in my life. In every presentation room there were huge bowls filled with dozens of different kinds of candy. As a thank you for presenting, the NCA was nice enough to send me a gift pack full of goodies & sweets:
The teddy bear has taken up residence on my desk at work. For those of you wondering, yes that is an entire SET of Disney Princess Pez dispensers in back.
If you’re wondering, no, I didn’t keep them, they were donated to some Disney Princess fans in my office.
