It’s been more than 40 years since Tootsie Roll Pops first posed the question: “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?” Since then, countless children (and college students) have attempted to answer this question, with mixed results.
Have any of you had the patience to find out the answer to this question yourself? In other words, when you eat a sucker, do you lick it until the end? Or do you give in and…CRUNCH!!!

It depends. If it’s those little Dum Dum suckers or Chupa Chups, I crunch into those. But if it’s one of those monstrously huge bubble gum-centered ones, I lick until I get all the way down to a thin shell of a candy covering the chewy gum heart. And then I bite.

Ha! My three friends and I did it and we all got about the same answers. Mine was 773 and I even licked the tootsie roll part in the middle. :p
