Editor’s Note: Eating Styles, which formerly appeared every Thursday, will now be moved to Mondays.

In honor of National Iced Tea Day, which took place yesterday, Sunday, June 10, this week’s Eating Styles post is all about iced tea. How do you drink it?

Many people agree iced tea is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day, but not everyone drinks it the same. How do you embellish your glass of golden-brown icy perfection? Do you squeeze a little lemon in it? Sugar or sweetener? Nothing at all? Or do you prefer iced tea that has “long island” before it?

Vote for your favorite way to drink iced tea below, and explain in the comments!

When I drink tea I like it sweetened. If I am served iced tea unsweetened I use an artificial sweetener because it will dissolve in cold tea.

When I am drinking alcoholic drinks I love a Long Island. But as most people know there is no tea in a Long Island. 🙂

I answered sweetener (usually Splenda, sometimes agave), lemon, and how could you have forgotten mint!?

I skip the sugar if it’s good iced tea. Haven’t had a long island for a while, but may have to change that this weekend. Seems like they had many ingredients in them.

I’d love to have a sweetened iced tea on a hot summer day plus a lemon. The combination is just so refreshing. The coldness soothes the nerves and the lemon scent adds up more to the soothing effect. I’d like to drink it especially noon time so I can stay on my porch and just enjoy the summer noon.
