It’s Wednesday, which means it’s Would You Rather time. Today seems like an odd match-up on the surface, but you know what? It ain’t. W’re pitting two fruits, both of which are in-season in the mid-fall, and both of which start with the letter “P.” Let’s see them do battle.

Option #1: You can never eat pumpkin again.

Option #2: You can never eat pomegranate again.

Note that this applies to both fruits in ALL forms. No more pumpkin pie, seeds, pumpkin curry, pumpkin beer, whatever else you might put it in. For pomegranate, no more seeds, juice, molasses or anything else you may add it to. As always, you can use whatever criteria you think is relevant: cost, taste, availability, food choices etc.

Share in the comments why you made the choice you did.

I love pomegranate, this deal would severely restrict my yogurt intake, but how do you give up pumpkin?

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin butter, the seeds, its like agreeing not to ever experience fall again.

Pumpkin seeds are the only part I eat, and while I would miss them dearly I use pomegranate more often in cooking. Also I just discovered pinkberry and pomegranate frozen yoghurt is something I need to get to know more about

I am not a fan of pumpkin at all. Also, most of what you taste in a pumpkin-flavored food is nutmeg + cinnamon.

Pumpkin Ice Cream!!!!! They only make it once a year…I’d trade every pomegranate in the world for a tub of pumpkin ice cream, or nutmeg and cinnamon ice cream for that matter.
Now I wonder if there’s any pumpkin in pumpkin ice cream at all…

I LOVE pumpkin everything! But,… I just read where Pomegranate has calming and uplifting benefits for women experiencing the blues/blahs during menopause!

As much as I like pomegranate… life without pumpkin would be meaningless and bleak.

The only part of a pumpkin I ever eat is the seeds and I don’t always feel the need to eat them when they’re around. I could never EVER give up pomegranate though. It’s just too good.
