Ever heard of Fakelaugh.com? Neither had anyone else in the world until supermarket chain A&P got all hot and bothered by a rap video filmed by two college kids.

I first read this story on White Trash BBQ and got quite a kick out of it. Apparently two brothers in New Jersey who worked at a local A&P decided to film a parody rap song at the store one night. Entitled “Produce Paradise Rap“, I’d rate it as average as far as YouTube raps go.

This is a video that should have gone unnoticed, but it didn’t, it has now been viewed over 100,000 times. Why? Because A&P decided to sue the brothers for $1 million. Yes, $1 million.

A&P spokesman Richard De Santa, however, proved he is “hip” to the “YouTube generation” by issuing this statement letting the kids know just how “down” he is with their creativity:

“Producing a video that intentionally and unjustly depicts our company in a negative light, and utilizing company facilities without management knowledge of the specific content involved, is obviously a blatant violation of our policy.”

Oh. Uhhhhh….Well ok then. Guess he wasn’t “down” with anything. What a narc.

A&P doesn’t seem to realize they are shooting themselves in foot. This video would have been seen by almost no one. But since they had to go and sue two broke college kids, suddenly they are the bully and the kids are the victims. Which means annoying bloggers like me get to write about what a bunch of morons the management at A&P are.

Anyways, here’s the “rap video” that caused these kids to be sued:

whatevs. price chopper never sued the sketchies.

get yourselves together, A&P. you’re scaring the children.

of course, it could all be a publicity stunt. they may have no intention of winning money from these dorks, but instead the video is viewed a billion times and now the first name in produce for youtubers everywhere is A&P.

although i didn’t bother watching the video. i am at work afterall.

The rap video = boring, pointless, silly, irrelevent

A&P = miserable sons of bitches who by this legal action would have put me off shopping there if there was a branch near me. $1million!!! Nasty, miserable dirtbags. Just sack the silly buggers, but why ruin their lives? F**K A&P.

I am not sure if New Jersey is filled with geniuses or idiots. It is such a fine like when it comes to New Jersey. I worked for a summer at the A&P Super Store near Spring Lake NJ and it was either an amazing experience or it killed part of my soul.
